Antananarivo – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj met today in Madagascar with Secretary of Organization of Francophone, Michaëlle Jean, where is participating in the Francophone Summit.
Head of diplomacy Hoxhaj at the meeting talked about the close cooperation between Francophone and Kosovo. Hoxhaj informed Secretary for Kosovo’s intention to become a member state in the Francophone University Agency and the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophone.
“We talked about the close cooperation between Francophone and Kosovo from coordination of foreign policy issues, to the economic, education and cultural cooperation! I told Secretary that Kosovo aims to become a member of the Francophone University Agency and the Parlamentary Assembly of Francophone”, said Hoxhaj.
Minister Hoxhaj informed the Secretary Jean about developments and achievements of Kosovo and urged support for new recognitions of Kosovo.
Hoxhaj today also had a meeting with the Canadian Minister for Economic Development Francine Landry, with whom talked about the economic cooperation between the two countries and the possibility of concrete joint projects from which will benefit the citizens of Kosovo.
A day earlier Hoxhaj also met the foreign ministers of Belgium, Djibouti and Burundi, he will continue with his lobbying agenda.
Kosovo became member in the Organization of the Francophone in 2014 as an observer member state.
