The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, has received today the team of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Office of the Government of Kosovo (MCC), headed by the National Coordinator, Petrit Selimi.

The President has offered full support to the team and to their work which aims to bring tens of millions of euros of investments by the US Federal Agency.

“MCC is a great success for Kosovo, a big appreciation for our country”, said President Thaçi and added that “your success reflects also on our relationship with the USA”.

“The US support for economic development, environmental protection and the rule of law is important to initiate a new cycle of development of Kosovo”, stressed the President.

On the other hand, Petrit Selimi, Coordinator of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Office of the Government of Kosovo informed President Thaçi about the work the team is doing to implement the priorities of the MCC.

“MCC’s team at the Government of Kosovo is committed to develop projects which will bring maximum benefits for Kosovo”, he said and added that “we thank the President for the continuous support  for the development of the MCC program”.

According to Selimi, after the identification of the investment areas, the implementation of the concrete investment projects will be started, which will affect the economic development of Kosovo.
