General Prosecutor of Albania, Adriatik Llalla, held a meeting with the Minister for Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Skender Hyseni, in which he appraised the ongoing cooperation between Albanian investigative authorities on both sides in the fight against organized crime and various forms of trafficking.

General Prosecutor, Mr. Llalla, appreciated the importance of real-time exchange of information on persons involved in criminal acts, in order to identify and combating efficiency the individuals involved in illegal activities.

Focusing on concrete results of investigative actions, Mr. Llalla stressed the necessity of cooperation between police and prosecution structures to document with full evidences of each case the criminal responsibility of individuals and criminal groups, who use the border crossing facilities between Albania and Kosovo to develop their illegal activity. In this context, Mr. Llalla praised the correct communication of the Prosecution Office of Albania with the State Prosecutor of Kosovo, and expressed his conviction that the ongoing cooperation between the Kosovo police and investigative bodies in facing criminal sharp challenges will continue to be helpful even for investigative authorities of Albania.

"Albania and Kosovo are in a vulnerable geographic area to criminal groups and for this reason it is very important the close coordination and cooperation of law enforcement agencies to achieve the required success," said Mr. Llalla.
