Prime Minister Edi Rama is set to chair a meeting of the Socialist Party’s Parliamentary Group on Saturday morning, with government ministers also expected to attend.

According to information obtained by Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu, the meeting will open with remarks from Parliamentary Group Chairman Taulant Balla, followed by an address from Prime Minister Rama.

The first item on the agenda concerns Albania’s European integration process. Lawmakers will be briefed on the conclusions of the 8th Albania–European Union Intergovernmental Conference and the current progress of the country’s EU accession negotiations. Each Socialist MP will be given two minutes to ask questions and seek clarifications.

The second agenda item focuses on the package of laws linked to Albania’s EU membership process. Deputies will receive updates on legislative measures and reforms required to advance the country’s accession efforts.

The third and potentially most significant topic will be a briefing on the procedures followed so far regarding the planned investment in Zvërnec and the expressed interest in developing tourism projects on Sazan Island. The issue has attracted considerable public attention in recent weeks.

The agenda also includes a presentation by Arbjan Mazniku, co-chair of the Administrative Reform Commission, who is expected to update Socialist lawmakers on the progress of the territorial reform process.

Meanwhile, Taulant Balla is scheduled to provide a detailed report on the tasks assigned during the previous parliamentary group meeting, including an assessment of the performance and commitments of Socialist Party MPs.

The meeting is expected to conclude with closing remarks from Socialist Party Chairman and Prime Minister Edi Rama, as well as Parliamentary Group Chairman Taulant Balla.

It remains to be seen whether Rama will address the latest developments involving MP Martjana Koçeku or comment on statements made by Parliament Speaker Elisa Spiropali regarding the recent protest, which she discussed in a lengthy Facebook post around ten days ago.
