TIRANA – An armed robbery took place in the Albanian capital on Tuesday afternoon when a masked individual entered a bank branch and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:26 PM on “Gjin Bue Shpata” Street, noa.al report.

According to preliminary information, the suspect, wearing a mask and allegedly armed with what appeared to be a firearm, entered under threat and obtained an unspecified amount of money before fleeing the scene.

Police sources confirmed that the robbery took place inside an bank branch. Immediately after receiving the alert, law enforcement authorities set up checkpoints and mobilized police units across the city in an effort to identify and apprehend the suspect.

Investigators have launched an inquiry to establish the full circumstances of the robbery, identify the perpetrator, and gather evidence related to the case.

The amount of money stolen has not yet been disclosed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
