Albanian drivers will benefit from another reduction in fuel prices following a decision by the Transparency Board during its meeting on May 28, 2026.

Under the new decision, which took effect at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the maximum retail price of diesel fuel (gasoil) compliant with SSH EN 590 standards has been set at 187 lekë per liter, down from the previous price of 190 lekë per liter, NOA.al reports.

The Board also approved a reduction in gasoline prices. The maximum retail price of gasoline meeting SSH EN standards has been set at 174 lekë per liter, compared to 179 lekë per liter previously.

According to the Transparency Board, the newly established prices came into force on May 28 at 2:00 p.m. and will remain valid until the Board’s next meeting, when any further changes in fuel prices will be reviewed and reflected in a new decision.

The latest adjustment continues a recent downward trend in fuel prices and is expected to provide some relief to consumers and businesses facing transportation and operating costs, NOA.al informs.
