Albania has condemned the drone attack that struck the city of Galați, Romania, damaging a residential building and injuring several civilians, including a minor.

In an official statement, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha expressed Albania’s full solidarity with the Romanian people and authorities, wishing a swift and complete recovery to all those injured.

Hoxha described the incident as a serious and irresponsible escalation by the Russian Federation, emphasizing that it once again demonstrates the severe human consequences of the war in Ukraine.

According to the minister, the effects of the conflict are no longer confined to Ukrainian territory but continue to pose risks to the security and safety of civilians beyond Ukraine’s borders.

He stressed that Albania will continue to stand in full solidarity with its allies and partners, supporting coordinated efforts to bring the war to an end and to uphold peace, security, and the fundamental principles of international law.
