One of the world’s most influential figures in real estate development, technology, and economic transformation, Mohamed Alabbar, founder and chairman of Eagle Hills, will attend the Adria Future Summit, taking place from 22 to 24 April in Porto Montenegro.

His participation reflects the region’s growing importance as a destination for strategic investment, innovation, and large-scale development. As countries across the Adriatic seek to modernize infrastructure and accelerate sustainable urbanization, Alabbar’s presence underscores a shift toward integrating hyper-advanced technology with cultural preservation.

“The Adria region stands at a defining moment,” said Mohamed Alabbar. “What I see here is energy, ambition, and untapped potential. The Adria Future Summit is more than an event; it is a catalyst for partnerships and bold ideas that can redefine the future of cities, communities, and economies. I am excited to be part of this journey.”

Biljana Braithwaite, founder of the Summit and CEO of Sustineri Partners, highlighted the evolution driving the platform forward: “What began as the ESG Adria Summit established a strong foundation for responsible business and investment.

Today, as the Adria Future Summit, we are accelerating that vision, connecting sustainability with innovation, investment, and long-term regional competitiveness. Welcoming leaders like Mohamed Alabbar reflects the Summit’s growing international influence and ambition.”

Alabbar is widely recognized as the founder of Emaar Properties, the developer behind landmark projects including the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and the Dubai Mall. These developments helped position Dubai as a global hub for tourism, investment, and innovation. Beyond real estate, he is a relentless tech innovator, having launched noon.com to capture the Arab e-commerce market and established Zand as the UAE’s first digital bank. Through Eagle Hills, he has led large-scale master-planned communities, marina developments, and waterfront destinations across three continents, delivering mixed-use urban destinations, luxury marina projects, and coastal regeneration schemes designed to stimulate long-term economic growth.

The Adriatic has become an increasingly important part of that global vision, and Montenegro in particular has captured his attention as a destination where he sees the potential for a new kind of development: one fully designed and managed by artificial intelligence, and one that sets a new global benchmark for how technology and nature can coexist.

Reflecting the Adria Future Summit’s growing international relevance, this year’s edition continues to attract globally influential leaders, highlighting the event’s role in supporting strategic investment, innovation, and forward-looking development across the region.
