The Pre-Trial Judge of the Mitrovica Basic Court granted the application of the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office (SPRK) and extended detention on remand against Oliver Ivanovic for the period between 27 June and 26 August 2014.

The Pre-Trial Judge found that the risk of flight and the risk that the defendant might influence witnesses if released continued to exist and that there are no less severe measures that could be imposed at this time.

Detention on remand was initially ordered by the Mitrovica Basic Court following Ivanovic’s arrest on 27 January 2014.

He is suspected of War Crimes and incitement to Aggravated Murder.
