

Tirana, May 14, 2013 NOA.al – Prime Minister Sali Berisha inaugurated Tirana "Urban Traffic Control (T-UTC) Management System". The project has been implemented jointly by “Swarco Mizar” S.p.A and “SCAE” S.p.A Italy at an investment value of 2.3 million dollars.
PM Berisha appreciated highly the project that aims traffic improvement in the capital and influences directly into the health of the citizens. Likewise, the prime minister said that owing to changes that the capital has undergone in the recent two years, the adjustment of “Scanderbeg” square, it has been achieved an improvement of air quality.
“Air pollution at the city’s square and at ‘21 Dhjetori’ area used to surpass 2-3 times every limit and into the levels of risk and threat. This is not any more the case. These apparatuses show that at present Tirana citizens breathe air quality in line with standards and norms and equal those of the friendly towns toward environment”, said the prime minister.
PM Berisha appreciated highly the job and commitment of Tirana Mayor Lulzim Basha who is making a reality his and DP initiative of ‘Tirana, a healthy city’. “It is a great pleasure to affirm to you that the government will support with determination, while considering it in the national interest, every major project in this city”, said PM Berisha.
