Tirana, December 11, 2012, NOA – Ambassador of European Union, in our country, Ettore Sequi, commented the situation of Albania, before the response expected to be issued today by the Council of Foreign Ministers of European Union, regarding the status of candidate for Albania.

He recalled that in october, the Commissioner for Enlargement, Stefan Fule, said that the Commission recommends status for Albania but under certain conditions, as the law of High Court, for civil officials and this of parliamentary reform.

"Commissioner Füle said that would be prepared another report, when being the completion of these 3 conditions. When these conditions will be realized, EC will presents a report, saying that the conditions are completed.

At this moment, the Council of Europe will makes its decision based on the recommendation," said Sequi, implying that the status can not be granted, as long as the conditions are not yet realized….

EU’s ambassador said that during today’s meeting of Foreign Ministers of European Union, will be discussed several issues related to the Western Balkans but also for Albania …
