Tirana, November 20, 2012, NOA – Leader of socialist parliamentary group, Gramoz Ruçi, considered as a violation of the Constitution the decision to ends the mandate of Prosecutor General, Ina Rama, on 22 November.

At the end of meeting with President Bujar Nishani, for a consultation about the new Prosecutor General, Ruçi said that Socialist Party respected the invitation for consultations, but it does not support the position of Head of State.

"What separates us emphatically in this institutional consultation between political forces, is the view that we have.

After a consultation with constitucionalists, regarding the constitutionality of mandate of the current Prosecutor.

For this mandate, is expressed also the OSCE’s Ambassador and Kosovo’s Constitutional Court for President in an analogous case,” said Ruçi, reports noa.al.

He said that this attitude was said also to the President, but added that Nishani was convinced that the mandate of Ina Rama, expires on 22 November….
