

Prishtina – At a conference organised by the Centre for Social Research and Strategic Planning First Deputy PM Behgjet Pacolli criticised the government for the lack of strategic state planning, Preportr informed. “The meetings of our prime minister with foreign dignitaries are only for the media”, he said, “where is the economy, where is the practical benefit for the country? I am part of the government, but believe me, there is no strategy for national economic development and I feel guilty for that”. According to Pacolli, “the idea of national unification should start with the economy and Kosovo economic integration should be orientated towards Albania, for which no mediation is needed”. In his speech at the conference the President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce emphasized on the low figures of Kosovo trade exchange with Albania: exports for 136 million, against imports of 386 million euros for the whole period from year 2000 till June 2012. The former Minister of transport Fatmir Limaj praised the construction of the trans-Albanian motor road as an example of strategic integration and suggested the idea for establishment of Albanian common market, supported by the business representatives
