Tirana, November 8, 2012, NOA – Chairman of the Party for Union of Human Rights, Vangjel Dule, called in a interpellation the Foreign Minister, Edmond Panariti, about the conditions of communities in our country.

Albania’s top diplomat, said that there is no case of discrimination or violation of minorities in our country.

He recalled that Albania is committed on the Convention of Council of Europe and therefore, in this Convention, shall be clearly defined the protection of communities.

Regarding the process of Census, Panariti, stressed that the declaration of ethnicity was not mandatory and that there was no punishment for those who have made ​​false statements.

As Dule, the government has not a comprehensive legal framework for the minorities, and no laws for its implementation.
