Tirana, 20 February, NOA – Following recent speculations in some media, the President of Republic, Bamir Topi, explain to the publik opinion, his absence at the inauguration’s ceremony of the Embassy of Kosovo in Tirana, the evening of 17 February, as part of 4-th anniversary of the Independence of Kosovo, in 17 February 2008.

"Based on some misconceptions and conflicting comments in visual and written media, the Protocol’s Office of the President, explained publicly and officially for the first time that: President of the Republic, Prof. Dr. Bamir Topi received the invitation to the inauguration’s ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Tirana as well as the reception will be organized later in the Hotel "Sheraton" on 17 Friday 2012".

Office of Protocol suggests that in the inability to attend personally due to a viral conditions, President Topi communicate by phone with the Charge d ‘Affaires of the Embassy of Kosovo, mr. Gani Veselaj…
