Tirana, December 25 NOA - At the end of his visits on occasion of the Christmas festival, Prime Minister Sali Berisha visited St. Paul's Cathedral. The Catholic Archbishop of Durrës-Tirana, the Primate of Albania Rrok Mirdita welcomed the prime minister to the Cathedral.

Wishing this blessed day to all the Catholic believers, but also to all those who trust in God, the prime minister said:

“It is a pleasure to wish today all Catholic believers, the Christian believers and all those who trust in God, on this great Day, the most beautiful festival of mankind, the Nativity, a day of inspiration for trust in God and the future.

It is also a special occasion to express the deepest gratitude to all those who by their great devotion made us celebrate this Christmas with more dignity than ever before as we enjoy the greatest freedom in our history.

I would like to express deep gratitude to the nations and governments of the Schengen area for their decision about lifting of the visa regime for Albania and who by their act conveyed to the Albanians the card carrying the best wish for Christmas and the New Year.

Cheers to everyone on this blessed day, the day of the Nativity, the divine being who illuminated the mind and spirit of man and mankind and who by his sacrifice got transformed into a great divine value of human morale.
