Prime Minister Sali Berisha, on few days holiday in Dhërmi resort together with the family, nephews and nieces, on Saturday afternoon joined the youth of the Democratic Party Youth Forum and visited "Blue Marine" holiday camp they have set up in Drimadhe beach (Dhërmi).
This Forum initiative is taken in the framework of outdoor activities not only for the Democratic Party youth, but even for others from different towns of the country.
The holiday camp, located in one of the most beautiful beaches of Albania, Drimadhe, was opened on July 22 and will stay open up to September 10. It offers entertainment, sports activities, but even training like a summer school- a pleasant way of spending the summer vacations and an opportunity to get acquainted with one another. Expressing his pleasure at meeting the youth, PM Berisha congratulated them on this initiative and encouraged them to launch other similar initiatives in the future.
Speaking to the youth, PM Berisha highlighted the tourist potentials of the country, not only along the coastline, but even in the mountainous areas. He encouraged them to visit these areas and turn them into important holiday spots, but even places for playing sports. Further on, PM Berisha focused on investments in the country and emphasized that, “We shall do our best so that Albania becomes a developed country and has sustainable development”.
PM Berisha highlighted the building of more than 70 hydropower stations and considered them real success stories and sustainable works. “They produce low cost energy and naturally this is important because these hydropower stations will be inherited even by the other generations”, emphasized Mr. Berisha. Speaking on the political developments in the country, PM Berisha emphasized that August 6 is an historical day of removing immunity of the government officials and judges. In regard to the opposition rejecting to vote for being equal before the law, PM Berisha said: “The fact of the matter is that immunity is a wall that hampers fight against corruption because it discourages the prosecution office to launch investigation on a person enjoying immunity; it makes uncertain the fair efforts because of the immunity law; it’s a wall that separates the citizens into government officials not equal before the law with the common citizens”.
Speaking about the upcoming general elections of 2013, PM Berisha said: “Naturally, the Albanians will give a far bitterer lesson to the challengers than in 2011, but we must work together on this. Whatever we have achieved, we have tried to implement our program, but we must run after every vote, the hearts and minds of the citizens so that to record a deserved victory for us and the country”.a.b/noa.al
