Tirana, June 12, 2012, NOA - With conclusion of the process to elect the new President, as the Parliament elected on Monday Bujar Nishani as new Chairman of State, the head of LSI, Ilir Meta, urged the albanian political class should to moves quickly about the finalization of electoral reform, parliamentary reform and the limiting of immunity for the senior officials, reports news agency NOA.al.

Ilir Meta, a close ally of Prime Minister Berisha, turning in a key factor during the process of selecting the new President, appeared at a press konference, where he commented the recent statement of chairman of opposition, Edi Rama, who said that the Parliament elected a politicial notary.

"We are all witnesses that the yesterday's presidential election, was product of process long at time, a dialogue that has involving all parliamentary forces, which included several candidates. There have been several opportunities for consensus and finally we had the choice of the President," said Meta considering as sovereign, the voting from Parliament, as based on the Constitution.

In this setting, the chairman of LSI, Ilir Meta, praised the new elected President, Bujar Nishani, noting that he is a figure more constructive, collaborative, he brings peace and cooperation.

"In this regard I think that the opposition shares also this attitude for this man, regardless of its political stance, due to failure to reach consensus about names that requires the opposition," said Meta.
